(Heavy-Duty) ADJUSTABLE BEDS AND HOSPITAL BEDS: If you weigh between 300 and 350 pounds, we recommend that you order a Heavy-Duty Electropedic Adjustable Bed (add $300 more than the above Electropedic prices). If you are over 350 Pounds and you need a heavy-duty Adjustable or Hospital Bed, we recommend to order either the 600 pound or 1000 pound Transfer-Master Electric Adjustable or Hospital Bed. Twin $3500/$4000, Full $4000/$4500, Queen $4500/$5000. If you need a 3rd motor to elevate the whole bed up and down, please add $500 to the above prices. Most Hospital Beds 36" x 80" have a 450 Pound Weight Capability. If you can buy a "standard" 3-Motor Hospital Bed, your complete price is only $1599 with an innerspring mattress (add $300 for a Latex Foam Mattress). If you need a 650 Pound 36" x 80" 3 motor hospital bed, then the price is $3199.00. Burke makes a 600 Pound ($3198) and 1000 Pound 3-Motor Transportable Hospital Bed( $11,995.). 2. (Heavy-Duty) LIFT-CHAIRS and STAIR-LIFTS. Most Lift-Chairs have a 375 Pound Weight Capability. From our experience, though, we find thatl people who weigh around 350 pounds should buy a true, heavy-duty chair. There are two models on the market: The Pride Model 540 and the Golden Technologies PR-501. Please call for illlustrated brochure and price list: 800-477 0248. Both are Priced at $1899.00. They both have two motors lifting and both have a 450 Pound Weight Capability. We would recommend the Golden Technologies PR-501, because it also allows you to recline a little further back (the 3rd position - or sleeping position). The Golden Chair also comes in a variety of Heights and Widths.

3. (Heavy-Duty) Stair-Lifts. There are really no true, Heavy-Duty Stair Lifts on the market, although Bruno makes the SRE-1550 and the Elite $4195.00 (plus installation) that both have a standard 350 Pound Weight Capability. We have had no problems so far for people in the 300 pound range.

4. (Heavy-Duty) SCOOTERS If you weigh in the 400 to 450 Pound Weight Capability, the two scooters that we would highly recommend are the Leisure-Lift PaceSaver Atlas and the Electric Mobility Rascal 235 or 245. Both are Priced at $3795.00. Pride also has a new Scooter out called the Maxim ($3795). If you are in the 600 to 650 Pound Range, we would highly recommend the Shoprider Jumbo 3.

5. (Heavy-Duty) Jazzy Powerchairs and Electric Wheelchairs. Pride makes the Jazzy 1170XL for people who weigh up to 450 pounds and Wheelchairs of Kansas makes a Good Line for People who weight in the 600 to 750 Pound Range.
